Iran exchanges 8,000 tons of commodities in one month

(MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar month Ordibehesht (ended on May 21), the second month of Iranian calendar year, 7.939 million tons of commodities valued at over 665 trillion rials (nearly USD2.519 billion) were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

As mentioned in reports by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchanges display 11 percent and 9 percent expansion in worth and mass, individually, in contrast with the first month.

Some 6.68 million tons of commodities worth more than 403 trillion rials (around USD1.55 billion) were exchanged on the metals and minerals exchange floor.

Additionally, the IME witnessed the exchange of 1.215 million tons of commodities on both domestic as well as export pits of its oil and petrochemical exchanging floor worth 249 trillion rials (nearly USD956 million).
