After a long beta test, MultiVersus is officially available, along with plenty of fresh content and reworks. The new economy system is one of the game’s newest and most improved features, and the game’s microtransaction system has been overhauled, with gold currency being abolished upon launch.

MultiVersus has four currencies, each of which serves a specific function. To unlock the best characters, perks, and other in-game items, players must first grasp the function of these four currencies and how to obtain them.

All Currencies in MultiVersus Explained

With the final launch of MultiVersus, a lot of currencies have changed. Previously, the fighter and battle pass tokens were exclusively available through the Founder’s Pack; however, they have since been removed from the game. While open beta participants may still utilize their character and battle pass tokens, they can no longer acquire new tokens.

Similarly, all Gold has been removed from the game. However, gamers who participated in the open beta will earn cosmetic goods equal to the amount of gold in their account.

The four currencies available in the game are Perk Currency, Fighter Currency, Prestige Currency, and Gleamium.

Perk Currency

Each character in MultiVersus has perks that may be assigned, which operate as enhancements throughout the game and provide you with a competitive advantage over your opponents. To unlock the strongest perks, you will have to earn more perk currency, and here’s how to do that:

Rift mode missions will grant you perk currency.
You will acquire perk currency as you go through the battle pass levels.
Increasing your account and character mastery level will reward you with free perk currency, so playing more matches will provide you with a consistent supply of perk currencies.
You may acquire perk currency through limited-time events.

Fighter Currency

Fighter currency is used to unlock new characters in the game permanently and differs from the character tokens that were accessible during the game’s beta stage. This is the most important currency in the game, and you’ll need it to unlock and recruit the most formidable fighters to your team.

There are various methods to gain Fighter Currency:

Complete all Rift Mode objectives.
You may acquire fighter currency as you progress through the battle pass.
Fighter currency may be acquired through in-game events.
As your account mastery level grows, more fighter currency is added to your inventory. Playing more matches is the most effective strategy to improve your account mastery level.
Character mastery can also reward you with fighter currency. Character mastery refers to your experience with a certain character. So, if you play more with that character and win, you can get more fighter currency.

Prestige Currency

Prestige is a new currency in MultiVersus that rewards players for spending Gleamiums on premium cosmetics. Each cosmetic you purchase in the game has prestige value determined by its rarity.

The acquired prestige may then be used to purchase prestige cosmetics, which are rare in the game and can only be obtained through prestige. The only method to increase prestige is to purchase more rare cosmetics for the characters in your roster.

Players who got rare cosmetics during the open beta will be rewarded with prestige for their already purchased cosmetics.

Gleamium

Gleamium currency is the premium currency in the game, mainly used to buy the Battle Pass and several premium cosmetics.

To get Gleamium:

You will have to purchase it from the store with real money.
Several events, like Twitch Drops or in-game events, can reward you with free Gleamium.
The battle pass has several levels that reward you with Gleamium once you reach that level.
After reaching character mastery tier 2, level 15, you will earn x150 Gleamium for each character.
