Nord Precious Metals reveals silver zone at Castle East | 2024-05-21 | Investing News

  • Two separate vein structures grading 5,441 and 3,730 grams per ton were discovered in the former Capitol Silver mine now on the company’s mining leases
  • Shares of Nord Precious Metals are up 14.29 per cent to C$0.04 as of 12:36 pm ET

Nord Precious Metals (TSXV:NTH) has revealed a new significant silver zone discovery at its Castle East property in Ontario called the All-Stars zone.

In a news release Tuesday, the company stated the discovery marks the potential for a substantial silver resource within the project region.

Notably, significant silver intercepts were recorded from recent drilling at the All-Stars zone. In hole CS-23-123 intercepted notable silver mineralization, including a high-grade interval of 5,441.4 grams per ton (g/t) silver over 0.37 metres at a depth of 446.55-446.92 metres downhole. An intercept from 461.25-462 metres also returned 3,730 g/t silver.

“We are thrilled to unveil the discovery of the ‘All-Stars’ zone at Castle East, marking a turning point in our exploration endeavours,” Matthew Halliday, president of Nord Precious Metals, said in a statement. “It is imperative that we conduct infill drilling to thoroughly assess the connectivity between the ‘All-Stars’ zone and the Robinson Zone, as we believe this could reveal valuable insights into the property’s geological potential.

Thanks to the discovery of the All-Stars zone, Nord Precious Metals plans on initiating infill drilling on a grid between the All-Stars zone and the Robinson Zone. This drilling campaign aims to investigate potential linkages between these vein systems and unlock additional mineralization opportunities.

Nord Precious Metals continues to advance exploration efforts at Castle East as well as exploring and unlocking the full potential of the Gowganda Camp in Ontario.
