The award-winning credit union has awarded more than $800K in scholarships to graduating Nevada High School Seniors since 1989. The scholarship program recognizes seniors who demonstrate excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.

Scholarship awards are named after past and current Board Members as well as the Credit Union’s charitable foundation, the Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit (POP) Foundation. In Recognition of the 31 years of volunteer service to Silver State Schools Credit Union, the Teresa Yeoman Scholarship Award was established as part of the ten 2022 scholarships being awarded. Ms. Yeoman, who retired from the Board of Directors in 2021, served on the Board for 14 of her 31 years of service, most recently as Board Chairman.

“Every year, our applicants continue to increase the level of dedication to their academic and extra-curricular achievements, as well as their unwavering commitment to making a difference with their peers, schools, and community,” said Scott A.
