Silver Creek dam to see safety improvements following death of teen boy

Several organizations like River Heritage and Origin Park have been calling for the dam to be destroyed. In a statement released on Monday, Gahan said, “The historic Glenmill Park Dam is an important part of New Albany’s infrastructure and recreational opportunities… If the dam is removed, these benefits will be lost forever.”Gahan added that there are ways to make the dam safe.He released photos of the proposed changes which shows modifications removing the undercurrent of the dam while still providing safe access to the water for recreation purposes. On Monday, Gahan announced new improvements to the Glenmill Park Dam.
