Cheema had picked the pair up earlier in the night in Surfers Paradise, the court heard.
The men were drunk and Cheema asked them 10 times where they wanted to go, but they did not reply.
He kicked them out before one of them allegedly struck him twice in the face.
The men fled, but when Cheema came across them again as they stood on a street, he drove at them.
One of the men was hit by his bonnet, however, the car had only grazed his thigh.
Cheema then reversed back at towards the men, before driving away while yelling abuse.
“Run, you m***********,” he yells.
The men were not charged over the alleged assault.
But Cheema, 37, was charged and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.
His lawyer argued he was provoked and his actions were out of character.
The magistrate sentenced him to 18 months imprisonment, wholly suspended for two years.
A conviction was recorded which voids his visa, meaning he will be deported.
