SALISBURY, Md. -Tuesday, Junior Achievement unveiled their new logo and updated the community about their new $6.5 million financial park.
Out with the old and in the new is the motto, as JA revealed their new brand color would be teal and showcased its new logo.
The organization that gives young people the skills they need for their own success also showed off sketches of their upcoming Perdue Henson Junior Achievement Center.
That center will operate as a financial literacy and workforce readiness facility helping aid students in crafting their futures.
It’s named after The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation and with The Richard A. Henson Foundation, both donating $1.25 million towards the project.
Junior Achievement President Jayme Hayes says the center will help them take on an additional 10,000 Maryland students across six counties. “Certainly its not a difficult sell to ask people to invest in our future youth. We just put it together in a really magical facility that students can remember for the rest of their life,” Hayes said.
Hayes adds that although JA is closing to meet its goal for the capital project, they’re still in need of support from community members and local organizations. To find out more about how you can get involved, click here
The Perdue Henson Junior Achievement Center is expected to be completed in Fall 2023.
