Stock Market Sectors: Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

KPI Green Energy(up 5.00%), Adani Power(up 4.99%), Energy Development Company(up 4.93%), ADANIGREEN(up 4.88%), RTNPOWER(up 4.44%), Orient Green Power Company(up 3.50%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 3.10%), DPSC(up 2.83%), Indowind Energy(up 2.30%) and Suzlon Energy(up 2.27%) were among the top gainers.

Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 4.40%), Reliance Power(down 4.00%),

Transmission(down 2.30%), Torrent Power(down 1.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.02%), Inox wind(down 0.95%), NLC India(down 0.63%), CESC(down 0.51%), SJVN(down 0.37%) and Inox Wind Energy(down 0.16%) were among the top losers.



The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 142.05 points up at 15924.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 444.33 points at 53237.95 at around 10:24AM.

Eicher Motors(up 5.99%),

Enterprises(up 3.16%), JSW Steel(up 2.91%), Tata Steel(up 2.78%), State Bank of India(up 2.53%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.51%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.29%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.27%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.23%) and IndusInd Bank(up 2.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Shree Cement(down 1.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.02%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.96%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.8%), Nestle India(down 0.75%), ITC(down 0.66%), Asian Paints(down 0.52%), Infosys(down 0.46%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.45%) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.24%) were trading in the red.
