1 person dead after work turn overturns in Montgomery County
No information has been released as to what might have caused the truck to overturn.
SILVER SPRING, Md. — A work truck overturned in Silver Spring Wednesday morning, leaving a worker who was in its bucket dead.
Officials with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to Sudbury Road, off of Flower Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. after a report of the overturned tree company’s truck. One person was in the extended bucket when it was overturned.
MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer posted on social media photos from the site, showing the aftermath of what happened. The truck can be seen on its side, bucket still extended, and cut pieces of wood on the ground nearby the truck, as well as other nearby equipment.
The person who was in the bucket was severely injured at the time authorities arrived. The worker was later pronounced dead. No information has been released identifying the worker, including their name, age, and where they are from.
In addition, no details have been released as to what might have caused the truck to overturn.
