Interactive Brokers introduces Default Export Directory in TWS

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers continues to enhance its TWS platform, with the latest build (10.29) of the platform adding Default Export Directory.

The broker has added a new feature in TWS that allows clients to select a single folder location that will become the default location for all exports from TWS. This makes it easier to quickly export data without having to find a destination folder on each instance.

To define a default export folder:

  • Open Global Configuration from the Mosaic File menu.
  • Select Export Reports in the left pane.
  • In the All Exports section, check Use a default directory when exporting files and browse to select the default directory.

Interactive Brokers regularly updates its TWS platform. Recent enhancements include the addition of Mutual Funds Swap. The Exchange Fund feature allows clients to swap all or part of an eligible (long) mutual fund position into another fund from the same fund family. Funds must trade in the same currency. Swapping funds using the Exchange action may result in lower commissions, fewer tax consequences (for funds in the same family), and also allows clients to complete this action with a single transaction instead of selling, waiting for the trade to settle, and then buying another fund.
