Los Angeles Office Broker Departs JLL

An established office tenant representation broker in greater Los Angeles has left JLL at a time when some of the biggest names in the business have moved on to seek new opportunities.

Tony Morales, who served as senior managing director of JLL, is no longer with the firm, according to an emailed statement from a JLL spokesperson. JLL said in the statement its policy is to not comment on details surrounding individual personnel moves.

Morales didn’t respond to a phone call from CoStar News requesting a comment. It wasn’t known to CoStar News what Morales’ next role will be.

Morales is the latest high-profile departure from a major brokerage firm. New York City dealmaker Bob Knakal left JLL in February while Carl Muhlstein departed JLL Los Angeles in December to start his own firm. Also in February, longtime New York broker Darcy Stacom left CBRE to launch her own firm.

Morales departed JLL after working with major companies including DirectTV, Yahoo, Electronic Arts, Spotify and William Morris Endeavor, now known as WME, on real estate deals, according to his JLL profile. WME, a national talent agency, recently inked a renewal deal to remain in its roughly 250,000-square-foot office in Beverly Hills, California.

Morales had worked with JLL for nearly 16 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, Morales worked roughly seven years with real estate investment firm Maguire Partners, also according to his LinkedIn profile.
