MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services wins 7 Costar Power Broker awards

MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC was recognized with seven CoStar Power Broker Quarterly Deal Awards for the fourth quarter of 2023, according to the company which provides information, analytics, and marketing services to the commercial real estate sector.

The Lutherville-based group received top honors for the execution of three commercial office leases, two industrial leases, one retail lease and one warehouse/industrial building sale. Last year, MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services completed more than 850 separate real estate transactions, representing the highest totals in its 56-year corporate history.

Transactions receiving awards included:

Royal Logistics renews 144,500 square foot lease in Baltimore County – MacKenzie’s Andrew Meeder, SIOR and Daniel Hudak, SIOR represented Royal Logistics in its 263,000-square-foot lease renewal at 8415 Kelso Drive in Rosedale. The company, which occupies more than half of the total space at the building, has occupied space in the building owned by Starwood Real Estate Income Trust since 2018.

Quick Servant Company moving headquarters to 46,781 square foot space in Columbia – Quick Servant Company, a group that specializes in the repair, replacement and maintenance of commercial HVAC, cooking, and refrigeration equipment, inked a 46,781 square foot lease at 9065 Guilford Road in Columbia. MacKenzie’s Andrew Meeder and Matthew Curran, SIOR represented the tenant which is relocating its Baltimore-area headquarters to the asset owned by Adler Real Estate Partners. Quick Servant Company is occupying the entire building.

In The Dark Circus relocating to 12.240-square-foot space in Baltimore – In The Dark Circus Arts, a multidisciplined company that provides performances, creates special events, and offers training to adults and youngsters in circus arts, has signed a lease for 12,240 square feet of space in Vivo Living Baltimore. MacKenzie’s Mike Ruocco, Tim Harrington and Nick Maggio represented Vivo Investment Group. The owner acquired two hotels contained on the site last year – the Radisson Hotel Baltimore Downtown-Inner Harbor and the Holiday Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor – and subsequently revealed plans to convert both projects into a new multifamily development supporting 708 apartment homes, approximately 30,000 square feet of ground level retail and complimentary restaurant space.

Travelers Insurance moving Hunt Valley office to 10 North Park – Business and personal insurance company Travelers Insurance signed a lease with North Park Ventures, LLC for 65,214 square feet of space with plans to relocate its Hunt Valley-area offices to 10 North Park. The group’s move into the four-story, 82,300-square-foot building increases occupancy to 100 percent. MacKenzie’s Joe Bradley, Henson Ford, William Whitty Jr., Matthew Mueller and Dylan Bozel represented the landlord.

Group Benefit Services renews and extends 22,942 square foot lease in Hunt Valley MacKenzie’s Joe Bradley, Henson Ford, William Whitty Jr., Matthew Mueller and Dylan Bozel represented Quadrel Realty Group in its 22,942-square-foot lease renewal and extension at 6 North Park Drive. The employee benefits company has occupied space within the 81,462 square foot building for more than two decades.

Myers and Stauffer renews and expands lease in Baltimore County Health care company Myers and Stauffer signed a 21,050-square-foot lease renewal and expansion at 10200 Grand Central Ave. in the Owings Mills section of Baltimore County. The 192,000-square-foot building, owned and developed by David S. Brown Enterprises, is part of the Metro Centre at Owings Mills transit-oriented development. MacKenzie’s Mark Deering represented the tenant.

RW Dake Construction acquires 51,448 square foot building in Baltimore County –  RW Dake Construction, a New York-based company active in 15 states, acquired 10331 S. Dolfield Road in Owings Mills and intends to move its Maryland regional office from Columbia. The full-service general contracting company acquired the 51,448-square-foot warehouse for $7.75 million. MacKenzie’s Matthew Curran, Andrew Meeder and Daniel Hudak represented the buyer.
