Patrick Gildea (CBRE)

With this structure, CBRE said it seeks to fortify national coordination and collaboration among its office capital markets teams that work with institutional investors. The new leadership also will let the CBRE brokers leverage their local market experience, the brokerage said.

Carlson, who has nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience, has completed more than $6.6 billion in transactions for institutional clients. Gildea, who’s been at CBRE since 2006, has executed over $10 billion in investment property sales.

Cresa’s earnings rose a record 48% last year in New Jersey and now it has hired two senior-level brokers as it moves to new offices in Rutherford. Cresa said it added Garrett Rioux, as a senior vice president, and principal Dennis McConnell to its New Jersey office. The Jersey business, led by managing principals Dennis Gralla and Jonathan Marks, agreed to a long-term lease for a new 4,465-square-foot office suite near its previous location at 201 Route 17 North. “In the past few years, we have grown from three to 12 people” and added brokers who work with several property types including industrial, office, life science and healthcare, Gralla said in a statement. “The result has not only been a dynamic increase in transactions, but it has also helped attract new talent.” Rioux joined Cresa after an 18-year career at CBRE, specializing in tenant representation.
