WeHo Crossroads Trading Co. is Moving to New Location in West Hollywood

The Crossroads Trading secondhand clothing store at 8315 Santa Monica Blvd is moving 0.7 miles west on Route 66 to the former AAA Automobile Club space at 8761 Santa Monica Blvd. Signage at the empty retail spaces states that Crossroads is coming this fall, promising a “bigger and better WeHo Crossroads.”

The AAA Automobile Club of Southern California announced the closure of its West Hollywood branch in September. Effective November 3, 2023, the WeHo branch would shutter, leaving many residents and AAA members grappling with the loss of yet another local business.

The space did not stay empty for too long with the arrival of Crossroads this fall.

According to their website, Crossroads has more than 100 “Best of” awards and has been leading the resale fashion industry for 30 years. Their fashionable and eco-conscious customers sell gently used clothing for cash or trade, shop for name-brand and designer clothing at amazing prices, and help keep clothing out of landfills.

Crossroads Trading Company was founded in 1991 by Jerry Block and Chip Gerken. It was one of the first to pioneer the idea of secondhand clothing as an alternative to traditional retail. Many years and stores later, their vision of providing communities with a better way to shop continues to be a guiding force in company decision-making.

They evaluate and price clothing on the spot, and sellers receive either cash or trade right away. When you trade at Crossroads, you’re choosing to receive trade credit that’s good at any of our stores. We pay 50% in trade of what we price your items to sell for in the store. When you sell your clothes for cash in our stores, you receive payment on the spot. We pay 30% in cash of what we price your items to sell for in the store.

It is not yet known how long the WeHo Crossroads has been located across the street from West Hollywood City Hall, but it is widely known that the City of West Hollywood added the plot of land to their real estate portfolio, along with its neighboring properties: Peter’s Magnolia Cleaners, Joey’s Restaurant, and The Coast Playhouse.
